Those West Virginia winding mountain roads will get ya. My old man and myself once got caught in a blizzard driving through the West Virginia mountains and we must’ve seen a dozen cars and trucks that slid off the road. We stopped right away at the first rest stop we found and that made us late to our drop off the following morning. Old man asked the customer if they would rather have their delivery safe but late or spilled out on the side of road. No delivery is more important than your own safety.

Drove through W Virginia many times going to SC. The roads are so curvy. I'm always a wreck driving through there.

I drive charter buses in WV this is spot on. I cant wait until Corridor H highway 48 is complete.

Have family in WV and lived there for 6yrs. Have no problems hauling a 53ft thru the state. 2 basic key things to know. Once in the state. Tuck those trailer tandems all the way forward. And 2. Approaching curves go slower than what's posted. Now as for I-79 Heading south is literally down hill. You make better time going south. But there is no natural spot in the state of WV for a quarter mile that is flat and level.

Pussies. I've seen New York truckers come through here no issues. But I mean if YOU decided to go down a damn back road and ended up getting stuck that's on you. Cause I know yo damn GPS doesn't take you down the back roads because it WON'T work on them roads. As in it can't give directions or anything.

reminds me of the on ramps for the highway near this amazing little neighborhood with the best damn hole in the wall resturaunts in the world. there's a chicken house (smoked chicken that somehow stays relitively juicy with lots of smoke and flavor, plus red rice & pork and beans), some burger place in an old Quickies building (never replaced the sign, and they have no brand identifiers inside. they are probably the only people who can put peanut butter & bacon on a burger and make it addicting instead of gross), a burrito/taco building (yes, only tacos or burritos. there's like 4 grills in the kitchen & afternoon their parking lot looks like a packed tetris board), and thos guy who sells tamales and mexican style corndogs the only on ramp to the highway is this super tight 3/4 corkscrew ramp, or you have to drive through the entire ghetto Or drive along under it, which is entirely gravel & usually has trash trucks up and down all the time. then hope to god this junk yard has its gates open or you have to somehow reverse 1/2 mile to turn around in the dump entrance. a truck tried to brave it once. i called my boss and said i wasn't coming back from lunch break, because i ended up watching this truck inch and reposition for 2-3 HOURS just to get on the highway 🤣🤣🤣

Im sorry but this is laughable to euro folks. Sucks to have semis so unwieldy and unflexible they cant deal with a simple sharp turn. They look really, REALLY damn cool. I like US trucks a lot but this is just sad. At least PLAN your route when you need to use these sledge hammers for jewlery smithing.
